Keep playing to win - rather than not to lose in your career

A great article by JT O'Donnell from Work it Daily on the 4 career problems she sees https://www.inc.com/jt-odonnell/there-are-only-4-types-of-career-problems.html

- setback

- no career direction

- desire to change direction

- anxious to accelerate

Her tip - simplify your problem.

The #1 I am seeing at the moment is for leaders, keeping their teams jobs safe due to funding.

For individuals it is "how can I make sure I remain valuable" and in some cases, running the risk of losing their career aspiration for security.

In sporting terms - playing not to lose rather than playing to win.

I hope you find the article valuable. I am constantly having to think of my own career, even when talking to people about their careers - and fascinating to keep checking in.

Making sure I am continuing to play to win, rather than not lose is something that I am working on and takes effort, mindset and others than can support.

What is the problem I am facing at the moment and what can I do about it?

What is 1 thing that stands out of this article for you? Leave a comment - would love to hear.
